Well I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to the new year. I am looking forward to cleaning out my huge stash of stuff including art and stamps, old cards I had done for my books, thrift store finds and much more. The Best of the Holidays

Absolutely one of my favorite ornaments is from Carolyn Cozzetto made from eggshells dyed with alcohol inks and sticker embellishments.

I got a few things done today!

Finished up the Christmas Tree & Wreath. Mailed the remaining Holiday cards. Wrapped packages and finished up the shipping for the new SECRET BLOGGERS....goodies on the way for signing up this month! Rusty pages

Start with a full pages of Micaceous Iron Oxide then add stripes or sections of Gold and Interference Green

Add Red Iron Oxide

While wet I pressed another piece of paper to this piece and pulled it off to get the ridged pattern then finish off with a few stripe of Micaceous Iron Oxide

Resists with matte medium

Here I started with a stencil and applied Matte Medium over it ....let it dry.  Brush a thin layer of Yellow and just a touch of Burnt Sienna. I then added a bit of Green Gold

Another Busy week! Today at SAS (Spokane Art Supply) Micaceous Iron Oxide Paint with Iridescent paints....incredible sheen! you will learn all about it this evening at 5:30pm only $10 don't bring anything (athough a journal is great anytime)! Doorprizes too tonight....just for the Holiday Season. Dec 12th at Creative Element we will be using this same awesome paint as a base for our journal pages and different drawing mediums. Adding a Stencil background

Here is  "KITE" Stencil from JudiKins that I am using to add some color to this piece.

Of course I needed more color on the girl now that I added the background.

So I bumped up the mousey brown hair and gave her a skintone......she stands out more now!

Same Girl Same Journal

So TOMORROW December 4th is Visual Journaling at Spokane Art and I have a fun little project for you to do in a variety of mediums so bring along your journal a one inch paint brush and scissors!!!!!!!

 I should explain this journal.....It started as just a journal full of backgrounds in watercolor then I drew a face into one of the backgrounds and from there I just kept copying the face then doing it in different colors. over the next month I am trying to put in a face everyday.
