Almost everyday I do mixed media art in a journal......some days it is in the Secret Blog and you don't get to see it unless you join....... Wed Feb 6th Spokane Art Supply....you know you want to.......bring your pan pastels or regular pastels, whatever you have, a black pen and scissors.... oh and your favorite stencil!

These are the playcolor sticks I keep talking about.

Another beginning.....using the play color metallic sticks from Jack Richeson....these are interesting because they are tempera paint in stick form....they dry very quickly and half a similar look to oil pastels or gelatos.

This is getting there....sister mary primary This was done on Kraft Bee Paper, painted in the back with metallic acrylic and metallic Playcolor sticks.

I have been a little slow posting the past couple of weeks. The flu caught me after almost 8 years. Not bad it tooks a few days to get over but I am back now! needless to say my journals have been a bit neglected. While I am getting back up to speed check out a few past pages!

Today at Mixed Media Group (formerly the stamp club) we are doing some intense collage so bring your scissors!
Also if you have some precut collage bits like flowers or heads or both bring it all. I will be giving you all a list of stuff to put in your kits to bring to group as well!

In this class MaryJo will show you a wide range of fun techniques including Copic and Sharpie pen methods, Pan Pastel and charcoal  ideas, how to draw even if you think you can't, acrylic and watercolor concepts and loads of spontaneous fun! Bring along a mixed media style journal(Strathmore makes a great one) and one book you would like to alter, scissors and any paper ephemera or collage material you would like to use. Copic markers & a variety of paint brushes if you have them and anything else you normally journal with. MaryJo will bring paint and pan pastels a variety of other items to play with.
